PONIES
Tansy
Exmoor pony
Watercolour SOLD
In Northumberland, Exmoor ponies are 'employed' by English Heritage to graze the dunes area. They are selective grazers so do not damage the indigenous species. I painted this pony from a photograph taken in the dunes near Beadnell.
When I sent it to the Moorland Mousie Trust (who manage the Northumberland exmoors) they were able to identify the pony as 'Tansy', one of the young mares.
